Israeli woman stabbed, wounded in market: Police
An Israeli woman was stabbed and wounded in a majority-Bedouin town in the south on Saturday by an attacker who fled the scene, a police spokeswoman said.
The woman, who is in her sixties, was stabbed at a market in Rahat.
The spokeswoman said the attack was “apparently committed for nationalistic reasons”, but was unable to specify whether the attacker was Bedouin or Palestinian.
“Police have launched a huge search operation in the area where the attack took place, and have set up checkpoints,” she said.
