Cabinet OKs body to care for minors
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman briefed the Cabinet, on Monday, about the message he sent to the Kuwaiti emir and the messages he received from the Moroccan king and the Qatari emir.
The king also spoke about the outcome of his meetings with the German foreign minister and the chairman of foreign affairs committee of the European Parliament.
The Cabinet expressed thanks to the Sudanese president for commending the Kingdom’s role in Africa, its benevolent initiatives in all African countries as well as its roles in cementing Arab-African relations.
The Cabinet approved the establishment of a general authority for funds for caring for minors, or those who fall within this category. The Ministry of Social Affairs and the proposed authority will jointly work out necessary regulations for that purpose.
The Cabinet also approved a number of arrangements concerning kindergartens in the Kingdom, notably that the Ministry of Education is the party concerned with kindergartens for the age groups of three to six years. This includes issuance of licenses for practicing this activity and its supervision in accordance with set guidelines.
The ministry is also concerned with children’s nurseries for the age groups of one month to three years, their licenses and supervision in accordance with set regulations.
The Cabinet approved the agreements between the government of Saudi Arabia and governments of Morocco and Portugal on the avoidance of dual taxation on income, and tax evasion.
In addition, the Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the area of roads between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Spain.
