Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued a directive allocating SR3.5 billion to support livelihood projects for needy families.

Social Affairs Minister Majed Al-Qassabi made this announcement during a visit to the Janadriyah festival.

He said that SR2 billion would be for small projects for needy families and SR150 million for household capital and to acquire facilities and raw materials.

Al-Qassabi listened to the views and the difficulties faced by families and he promised that they would receive all the assistance they need.

“I’ll make sure that you receive what you need following the directive issued by King Salman,” he said.

He directed ministry officials and the director of the Saudi Credit Bank to take notes and start developing a comprehensive report on the needs of the families concerned.

He also toured the pavilion that showcases activities of the ministry as well as its projects and services to help the citizens.

Al-Qassabi also visited the pavilion’s section for charitable and cooperative societies and committees and met with officials and inquired about the services being provided by the ministry to the citizens.
