The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Academy will be launching a 3-day training program for 200 youths in the tourism and hospitality sector, JCCI announced on Monday.

Adnan Bin Hussein Mandoura, secretary general at JCCI, explained that the focus of this training program, resulting in a diploma in hotel management for 200 youths, is to develop skills and then provide jobs to youths in the tourism, health and hospitality sectors.

Mandoura explained that the launch of such tracks will help Saudization in the private sector, which can provide jobs to qualifying Saudi women for managerial and supervisory positions.

He pointed out that women’s decorating centers are experiencing a significant shortfall in professionals in the sector, especially in technology, cosmetic and sewing factories, and fashion design.

JCCI is keen to establish such paths by which employment for females will open, provide training and qualifying diplomas for Saudi youths in these professions, attract Saudi girls, and provide jobs in areas such as tailoring, decoration, beauty parlors and hospitality.
