Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar has confirmed the fruits of the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman when he was the governor in the region.

During a visit to the Shoura Council on Wednesday, he said that the fruits of the king’s far-reaching vision that included decades of patronage have started to pay off.

He said that Riyadh region enjoys a good standard of living, high quality of life, global political and multicultural prestige and modern amenities for its inhabitants.

“Riyadh region is a witness to a prosperous era and historic chapter in Saudi history, characterized by progress and development in various sectors and the flowering of culture and the arts,” he said.

He noted the establishment of the Council of Political and Security Affairs and the Council of Economic Affairs and Development through the launch of the ambitious national transformation program.

Prince Faisal added that Riyadh region “keeps pace with this blessed march through willingness to bring more success through the implementation of diverse and integrated projects.”

“These integrated projects will bring Riyadh to a pre-eminent position as the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said.

He noted that one of these is the $22.5 billion Riyadh Metro project or King Abdulaziz Project for Public Transportation.

Other projects include the King Abdullah Financial District ,which is envisioned to be a smart city, and Princess Noura University in the eastern part of the Saudi capital.

The Riyadh governor expressed his thanks for the great work of the Shoura Council and its support for the various projects in the city which the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) has been undertaking.

The ADA is responsible for the socio-economic, cultural and environmental development of the city.
