A partnership between the Ministry of Defense (MoD) and Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is on track in the areas of training and employment and, according to a source, about 18.5 percent of its graduates are working in the defense sector.

The TVTC seeks to expand its strategic partnership with the MoD while taking part in the ongoing Armed Forces Exhibition for Diversification (AFED) of Local Manufacturing at Riyadh International Exhibition Center. The expo will conclude on Feb. 27.

Ahmed Al-Fuhaid, the head of TVTC, will be addressing the event on the latest trends of the institution and its role in supporting the localization of the industry in the context of scientific symposia held in the exhibition program.

A source from TVTC said that the MoD is a strategic partner in the areas of training and employment sectors, where currently about 18.5 percent of the total graduates are working in various technical fields.

He said 2,446 graduates of vocational military training are now working at the MoD alone, where the program is a partnership model in the field of training between TVTC and the ministry.

In the area of women’s employment, the two sides have concluded cooperation to employ them in the clothing and military equipment at the Al-Kharj plant. They will also create a national base through attracting graduates of technical colleges for girls where the number of graduates working in the factory is approximately 100 females.
