Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal visited Al-Muwayh on behalf of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman to follow up on projects in the province.

“On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and in accordance with my duties, I want to find out the state of the implementation of projects,” he said.

Prince Khaled, also an adviser to King Salman, said that his visit was also a part of his responsibilities to study the situation and the needs of people in the province.

The citizens expressed their happiness over Prince Khaled’s visit since it could mean the fulfillment of their earlier demands. They said there was an urgent need for a branch of the Office of Civil Affairs in the province to complete citizens’ daily transactions.

“This is because we go to Al-Khurmah Province, which is some 100 kilometers away, for various transactions. Others go to Afif Province,” they said.

They also called for the establishment of a university branch for boys and girls since the number of students in the province has been increasing.

The students find it difficult to go to Taif, Khurmah and Afif provinces daily to complete their university education, the said.

“The setting up of a university branch would be a big help for both boys and girls in finishing their education and pursuing a career,” they said.

The citizens also requested that there should also be an Office of Passport in Al-Muwayh. “We still need to go to other provinces for this purpose. It costs us money, lots of efforts and time,” they told the Makkah governor.

They also complained that they lack desalinated water which is being enjoyed in other provinces of the Kingdom.
