The Ministry of Labor will organize a series of workshops “Towards an attractive work environment for women” in the major cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and in the Eastern Province.

The assistant undersecretary for inspection, development and work environment, Dr. Mohammed Al-Faleh, said the workshop is for workers in the private sector and businesswomen to inform them of the regulations and the work environment for women in private sector enterprises.

He said that holding such programs confirms the commitment of the ministry to educate business owners, employees and workers of the rights, duties and work environment for working women. Ensuring their rights and privileges in a workplace will increase the output of women workers in the private sector.

The lecture programs will highlight not only the work environment, but also labor rights of women, which include one-hour free time for feeding mothers, their annual vacation, provision for prayer halls, private toilet facilities and also the presence of women security guards.

Those interested have been requested to contact the area Labor Ministry offices for attendance to these awareness programs.

The first such workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 1, at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, while the second one will be held at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce on March 6. The final workshop has been fixed for March 8 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Eastern Province.
