JCCI Secretary-General Adnan Mandoura, executive members and officials besides Dr. Wasel Justaniah, president of the oncology center, and Abdul Rahman Magrabi, director of public relations and media affairs, spent some time with the children, gave them gifts and played games with them to ease their pain and bring a smile on their faces.
“JCCI organized the campaign as part of their social responsibility to put a smile on the faces of the children suffering from cancer and their families,” said Mandoura.
He explained that the event was organized by JCCI on a voluntary basis.
The chamber’s staff visited the children to spread awareness on health issues and provide them entertainment and happiness, and celebrated World Cancer Day with them and their family members.
He said the campaign is aimed at creating and spreading awareness, providing education and information and helping in controlling mortality among the cancer patients.
The campaign also aims to publicize ways of treatment and check unhealthy practices among the victims and reduce the incidence of the dreaded disease, he said
Mandoura said with great efforts of the government, a number of advanced cancer treatment and medical care centers have been set up.
The centers have the best equipment, advanced technologies, laboratories, skilled staff and best Saudi consultants, he added.
