Call to kill kin another deviant plot by Daesh
Daesh has adopted diabolical means to perpetuate terror crimes. “Killing relatives of ‘warriors’ is a key to success in jihad,” says a fatwa issued by the terror organization. The fatwa aims at ensuring that there is no way left for those affiliated to the organization to abandon the deviant path.
“By killing relatives, one automatically gets caught in a web and it guarantees continued loyalty to the terror organization because no other options are left,” said a source from intelligence department here.
The source said Daesh is targeting very young people as part of this “kill-your-relatives” campaign, to make it impossible for cadres to return to the right path, and instead continue with their merciless destruction.
“This fatwa was issued by the group on March 16 last year. So far, only four such operations have been carried out by the militant outfit, a huge disappointment for the conspirators who wanted more such criminal actions” the source said.
The group makes use of social networks to easily influence youngsters and drag them into the swamp of terrorism.
Four incidents happened following the this deviant fatwa. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi killed his father during Ramadan in Khamis Mushayt last year by shooting at him from a machine gun, while wounded two security men.
A few days later, Abdullah Al-Rasheed murdered his uncle, Col. Rashid Al-Sufyan, and then headed to a security station and blew himself. They also filmed their operations to post on social networks to cause chaos. Saad and Abdulaziz Al-Inizi killed their cousin who lived with them in the same house. Less than two weeks ago, Seargean Hamdi Al-Rashidi was killed by six of his own relatives in Qassim.
