King Salman Receives the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his residence here today, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb.

During the audience, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques underscored the importance of Al-Azhar s role in spreading Islamic sciences and serving the Islamic nation.

For his part, the Imam of Al-Azhar welcomed, in his own name and on and on behalf of Al-Azhar scholars and students, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques historic visit to Egypt and thanked the King for the Kingdom s support and patronage of Al-Azhar.

The audience was attended by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabia ah, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, as well as the advisor to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Mr. Justice Mohamed Abdel Salam.
