The visit by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to Egypt is being widely covered by Egyptian satellite channels. Saudi media personalities have also participated in such shows.

Ten TV launched its program with the slogan “The Decisive King in Egypt”, while political analysts, Saudi journalists and their Egyptian counterparts said that the visit of King Salman to Egypt and the warm welcome and hospitality that he and his entourage received will restore the strength of the Arab world.

Osama Kamal, a TV presenter, said the Egyptian–Saudi ties will work to realize the best interests of the two countries and their people.

The editor in chief of Al-Hayat, Saad Al-Rees, expected the visit of the king could lead to the formation of a joint Arab force. Editor in Chief of the Egyptian Al-Watan newspaper Mahmoud Muslim agreed with him.

On another talk show on Al-Nahar satellite channel, Waheed Hashim said that relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt were poisoned by the toxic emissions of the fifth column which seeks to provoke strife between them and weaken the Arab world. “But the visit of King Salman to Egypt has destroyed all such schemes,” he added.

Faheem Al-Hamid, assistant editor in chief of Okaz newspaper, said the Saudi-Egyptian alliance will maintain the unity of the region, rejecting the notion that differences exist between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Mohammad Al-Saad of Okaz also said: “The visit of King Salman comes following 70 years of steadfast and firm relations between the founder of the Kingdom, the late King Abdul Aziz, and the leaders in Egypt. The same strong relations still hold a strong momentum, and are benefiting from this most recent renewal and vitality.”

He added that the sovereign wealth fund in Saudi Arabia has great trust in the investment environment in Egypt and in the Egyptian leadership.
