Leadership lauded for developing holy sites
The Cabinet on Monday expressed its thanks and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for ensuring full care for pilgrims and the development of the holy sites.
It approved the agreement between the Saudi and German defense ministries in the field of mutual protection of classified information signed in Jeddah on 11/09/1436 AH.
It approved the formation of board of directors of General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises under the chairmanship of the minister of commerce and investment, and the following members: Governor of the Authority; Tareq bin Abdullah Al-Naeem, representative of the ministry; Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Quwaiz, representative of Saudi Industrial Development Fund; Ahmed bin Jameel Qattan, representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development; Ibrahim bin Fahd Al Mouaiqel, representative of Human Resources Development Fund; Ali bin Abdullah Ahamda, representative of the Ministry of Finance; Naif bin Abdullah Al-Sadoun, representative of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency; Imad bin Ali Alabdulqader, representative of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority; Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Namlah, representative of Saudi Bank for Credit and Savings; Mohammed bin Sulaiman Khurshid, representative of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology; Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Babli, representative of the Ministry of Economy and Planning; Dr. Osama bin Fahd Alhizan, representative of the Ministry of Education; Yusuf bin Ali Al-Majdouie, representative of Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Abdullah Nadeem Elyas, from the private sector and Abdullah bin Abdul Karim Al-Muneef, from the private sector.
The appointment of the following members of the board of directors of Saudi Industrial Development Fund for three years was approved: Yasser bin Othman Al-Remeian, supervisor of Public Investment Fund; Abid bin Abdullah Al-Saadoun, undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources for Corporate Affairs; Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed, director general of Saudi Organization for Industrial Cities and Technological Zones; and Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Arifi, head of sector of general budget administration of the Ministry of Finance.
The Cabinet authorized a number of ministers to discuss with Japan drafting memorandums of understanding for cooperation in health training and research, small and medium enterprises, combating copying of commercial products, energy, industrial cooperation and cooperation and exchange of news.
The Cabinet authorized a number of ministers to discuss with China the drafting of memorandums of understanding for cooperation in mineral resources, energy sector, oil storage, water resources and executive program for the establishment of a Saudi Chinese center for technology transfer.
The following appointments were also approved during the session: Saad bin Khalaf bin Mater Al-Qathami as director general of the branch of General Auditing Bureau in Makkah region (15th rank); Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Askar as secretary-general of the region’s council in the Governorate of the Eastern Region (14th rank) and Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Abdul Rahman Al-Ajlan as director general of the Chairman’s Office of Board of Grievances (14th rank).
