MoL OKs plan to localize jobs in social sector
Minister of Labor and Social Development Mufrej Al-Haqabani approved a Nitaqat decision to form an action team consisting of representatives from the Ministries of Interior and Labor, as also of the Human Resources Development Fund to consider the Saudization of jobs in charitable societies and associations.
Nitaqat is a Saudization program introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Labor in June 2011 with the aim to motivate local establishments to nationalize jobs.
“Such decisions will help in providing the finest quality services to the beneficiaries, in addition to jobs for citizens in the villages and regions in the respective areas,” said Turki Al-Ruwaibi, chairman, board of directors, the Charity Society that looks after mosques near roads, “Msajidona.”
He said coordination meetings between the society and the ministry have been going on quite some time to discuss better ways and mechanisms to apply the decision in accordance with government directives.
The Saudization of jobs in various regions in social sector is considered as one of the most important sectors and contributes to providing jobs for families because of the proliferation of charity societies and associations in the Kingdom, he pointed out.
Referring to Msajidona plan to launch “Saudization program through social investment,” Al-Ruwaibi said it aims to provide jobs for residents at all the mosques on all the Saudi roads.
“Msajidona seeks to Saudize all the jobs at the mosques on the roads by 100 percent. This step comes within the framework of realizing Vision 2030 with the cooperation of the charity societies in the villages and governorates affiliated with them,” he explained.
He added that the “social investment through Saudization” carries with it many ideas and plans of quality in the provision of jobs for families. “The families will work in the mosques that are supervised by Msajidona in the various regions of the Kingdom,” he noted, asserting the availability of a number of various jobs at these mosques located on the highways of the Kingdom, which are mostly established near populated villages and provinces.
“We will make sure that the family would work in the mosque near its village and within the scope of the station under the supervision of Msajidona for several considerations, notably to ensure the job is near the family’s residence to save hardship and effort. One such program provides work opportunities for both spouses. So far, this program provided such jobs for two families (husbands and wives) with rewarding salaries up to SR10,000 for the one family,” he added.
Meanwhile Al-Ruwaibi met on Sunday with Abdul Moneim Al-Shihri, undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for special programs to discuss the mechanisms to implement the program, “Saudization through social investment.”
