German federal prosecutors have indicted a teenage girl on charges of “attempted murder and supporting a terrorist organization.”

Prosecutors say the 16-year-old German-Moroccan citizen was acting on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) when she seriously wounded a policeman with a kitchen knife at Hannover’s central train station on Feb. 26.

Safia S., whose surname wasn’t given due to privacy rules, is also being charged with committing serious bodily harm. Police arrested her at the scene of the attack.

Prosecutors say in Monday’s statement they also are charging a 19-year-old German-Syrian man with failing to prevent the attack.
