The Kingdom’s achievements at the G20 summit in China were hailed by the Cabinet session, which was chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Monday.

The Cabinet also discussed the successful visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan, China and Japan, during which he highlighted the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan.

The king was reassured on the preparations and readiness of the government and private sectors and relevant agencies with regard to serving the Haj pilgrims.

The Cabinet thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, who is chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, for his constant efforts to upgrade the services for pilgrims.

Essam bin Saad bin Said, acting minister of culture and information, was quoted as saying by SPA that the Cabinet commended the deputy crown prince’s talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Deputy Premier Zhang Gaoli and a number of senior officials and the formation of a high-level Saudi-Chinese Joint Committee, besides the signing of 15 MoUs in various fields.

The Cabinet stressed the directives of King Salman to enroll Saudi students studying at their own cost in China and Japan in the education mission within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Foreign Scholarship.

Prince Mohammed’s talks with the emperor and the crown prince of Japan, as well as with the Japanese premier, and the signing of a defense deal found a special mention in the session.

The king briefed the Cabinet on the results of his meeting with Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, president of the International Civil Aviation Organization, appreciating his thanks to the Kingdom for assisting the organization’s program to help countries that are unable to apply international rules and recommendations concerning aviation safety and relevant programs.

The Kingdom condemned the attack on the Chinese Embassy in the capital of Kyrgyzstan and expressed solidarity with China and Kyrgyzstan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
