Saudi troops take part in Gulf security exercises in Bahrain

Saudi Arabia is currently taking part in the first joint Gulf-wide exercise of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in Bahrain.

The exercises are set to take place from Oct. 25 to Nov. 17 in implementation of resolutions of the 16th consultative meeting of the GCC member states’ ministers of interior, held in Doha, Qatar, on April 29 of last year.

The exercise which will take place under the motto of “Arab Gulf Security 1”, is set to witness participation of specialized anti-terrorism security formations, protection of land and sea borders, installations and public and economic utilities, supported by various multi-purpose mechanisms, gunboats, several units, a number of aircrafts dedicated for security-related operations, in addition to equipment, weapons and other necessary appliances, as well.
