Syrian regime forces and Iranian militias have committed 399 violations of the ceasefire agreement after 11 of its implementation.

The ceasefire agreement in Syria, sponsored by Russia and Turkey, has come to the end of its second week, with ongoing violations being committed by the Syrian regime and their allied- militias, according to the Syrian National Coalition statement.

According to a statement issued by the coalition, the violations took place in the southern countryside of Aleppo, Wadi Barada in the countryside of Damascus, and the outskirts of Hama and Daraa, with 271 dead, including 25 women and 34 children, without counting the casualties in ISIS-controlled areas.

The National Coalition called on the Security Council and other parties to stop the attacks immediately and punish the perpetrators.

Syrian opposition are expected to participate in meetings on Wednesday in Ankara regarding the truce and participation in the upcoming Astana talks.

Russia, which is committed to ensuring the cease-fire on behalf of the regime, has threatened to take all the necessary actions to eliminate what they called the ‘terrorists in Damascus’, pointing out that the regime’s control over the region has reached its final stage.

The Russian official also pointed out that the recent period has seen the expulsion of opposition fighters from the Latakia province, in addition to opening the main road linking the capital to the north of the country, saying that the Air Force dramatically changed the course of the war.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu agreed on Tuesday on the need to observe a ceasefire in Syria while continuing to fight “terrorist groups”, Russia’s foreign ministry said.

The call came at a time when Russian experts are preparing for the meeting with Turkey in Ankara to discuss a cease-fire, ahead of the forthcoming meeting in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, at the end of this month.
