Details emerge on the killing of Saudi student in the US
A man with a history of domestic violence has been charged with felony murder in the killing of Hussain Saeed Alnahdi, who was killed last October after a brutal attack.
Cullen M. Osburn, 27, faces charges after beating Alnahdi to death on Oct. 30 in the Menomonie district in Wisconsin.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Dunn County Circuit Court on Friday, Osburn has been convicted of multiple felonies in past, including domestic assault and failure to abide by court orders not to contact his victims.
Saeed’s brother, Ali Al-Nahdi, told Al Arabiya the day after the attack that his brother was essentially “brain dead and they announced his death two hours after finding his body”.
Police officers found 24-year-old Alnahdi unconscious and bleeding from his mouth and nose when they arrived on the scene of the crime at the time.
The motives of the attack are still unknown but Osburn confessed to have been arguing with Alnahdi moments before the fight.
Many attributed the incident as a racial attack in the days after.
But Osburn was said that the fight was “not a result of anybody’s race” but did not want to say anything else without a lawyer present, according to TwinCities.com.
