North Korea has released a video clip showing the launch of a ballistic missile that was reportedly carried out.


North Korea has released a video clip showing the launch of a ballistic missile that was reportedly carried out on Sunday.

The missile test was condemned by the international community and has concerned neighboring countries, mainly Japan and South Korea.

The Korean Central News Agency had announced that Kim Jong-un oversaw the rocket test, a new type of strategic weapon that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Trump supports Japan

In response to the test, US President Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that Washington supports Tokyo after North Korea launched a missile.

Trump told reporters during a joint statement with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe: “I just want everyone to understand and fully knows that the United States is behind Japan 100 percent.”

For his part, the Japanese Prime Minister, during the joint press conference with the US President in Florida said that North Korea’s actions are not acceptable at all.
