Houthi militias and forces belonging to Yemen’s former president have launched a number of Kidnappings and raids and looting of civilians’ homes in the district of Utmah days after gaining control of the wider Dhamar Governote.

Sources say Houthi militias have kidnapped at least 100 civilians from the areas and accused them of working with the Popular Resistance Forces. The whereabouts of those civilians remains unknown.

Militias have also started raiding and searching civilian homes in search of weapons they claim were being stored by a resistance leader who lived in the area.

Many civilian cars, motorcycles and commercial stores have been taken by the militias for their own use, sources said.
