Make ‘Abshir’ an integrated portal: Crown Prince
Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, has instructed that ‘Abshir’ be made an integrated portal with full-fledged identity for the services of the Ministry of Interior.
Presiding over the meeting of the Main Electronic Transactions Committee under the ministry at his office in Riyadh on Tuesday, the Crown Prince called for developing the portal from all aspects so that it can provide new services, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Crown Prince Muhammad urged all the security and service sectors under the ministry as well as governorates to strengthen and expedite the utilization of technical and digital accelerometers to carry out their functions effectively.
He also underlined the need for national cloud expansion under the supervision and management of National Information Center as well as to provide opportunity for all to strengthen data localization and build new innovative services.
The Crown Prince was briefed, through a video presentation, on the major technological services being extended by the ministry via Abshir to citizens and expatriates as well as to the public and private sectors.
He thanked the emirs of various regions, leaders of security and service sectors for the excellent achievements made by them in the field of technology services.
The Crown Prince also urged the ministry officials to encourage and promote innovations of youth from the ministry staff as well as from the public in the advanced technological applications.
The meeting was attended by Prince Bandar Al-Moshari, assistant minister of interior for technology affairs, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, advisor of the interior minister, Abdurahman Al-Robaian, deputy minister of interior, and other senior officials.
