Joint Yemeni army forces and the Popular Resistance backed by Arab Coalition’s aerial forces, have made significant gains in Nahm, north the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, during the early hours of Thursday, according to military sources.

Yemeni army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Almekdashi, said in an interview with Al Arabiya’s sister channel Al Hadath: “Reclaiming Sana’a is imminent, the army achieved strategic advancement toward the capital due to the continuous coordination and cooperation with Saudi and UAE.”

He called on those being “misled” to renounce militancy and join the Yemeni army.

Separately, an army spokesperson said following fierce incessant fighting early morning Thursday, the “legitimate forces” have advanced toward Nahm and recovered a number of Houthi-Saleh alliance militias’ posts, and “scores of the militants have retreated after incurring heavy losses.”
