ISIS uses man with special needs as suicide bomber in West Mosul

New video footage appears to show how ISIS recently used a man with special needs as a potential suicide bomber in West Mosul during an attack against Iraqi forces.

Al Arabiya’s sister channel Al Hadath obtained the video which showed Iraqi forces refusing to shoot directly at the man and instead aimed to scare him by firing warning shots into the air.

United Nations’ chief Antonio Guterres appealed on Friday for more aid and international solidarity for the people of Mosul, as he visited a camp for Iraqis displaced by fighting with extremists.

“We don’t have the resources that are necessary to support these people and we don’t have the international solidarity that is needed,” Guterres told journalists during a visit to the Hasan Sham Camp.

“Unfortunately, our program here is only funded at eight percent; that shows how limited our resources are,” he said.
