Saudi deputy crown prince speaks to British foreign minister
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who also serves as defense minister, received a phone call from British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, they discussed the situation in the region and reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries.
A statement read: “The British Foreign Secretary expressed his regret for the attack against the official spokesman of the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen, the military advisor to Defense Minister Major General Ahmad Asiri, by demonstrators in London while participating in a seminar, stressing his interest in the results of the investigations.”
It added: “The Deputy Crown Prince thanked the secretary for his interest, stressing the legitimacy of the coalition’s position in Yemen and the continuous delivery of facts about the situation in Yemen to the world. He also stressed the strong relations between the two friendly countries.”
