Pop superstar Janet Jackson has reportedly separated from Qatari millionaire business tycoon Wissam Al Mana.

Jackson and Mana had welcomed their newborn son Eissa in January.

According to British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, a source familiar with the matter said: “They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”

Jackson had been discreet about her personal life and did not immediately publicize her 2012 marriage to tycoon Al Mana, whose company sells luxury fashion brands throughout Gulf Arab countries.

The singer won an international fan base in the late 1980s with her albums “Control” and “Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814,” which brought together pop music and funk with the emerging genre of hip-hop.

In recent years, Janet Jackson was spotted wearing an abaya in Qatar, amid rumors she had converted to Islam.
