Cocaine in chicken: Saudi officials bust drugs shipment

Saudi authorities busted a cocaine shipment at a port on the Kingdom’s west coast, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.

Customs officials seized 46 kilograms of cocaine at King Abdullah Seaport in Rabigh.

The drugs were concealed in a frozen chicken consignment being shipped through the Kingdom on its way to another country.

Images released by SPA showed masked officials unloading boxes from a container and opening packets containing white powder.

In February, Saudi marine border guards on the Red Sea coast stopped a boat carrying drugs attempting to gain entry into the Kingdom, seizing 400 kilograms of hashish,100,000 amphetamine pills and arresting the Yemeni smugglers.
