US military plane makes first trip to Lebanon’s Riyaq airport

Equipment and supplies were reportedly unloaded from the aircraft, during its time in the airport, which the Lebanese army uses as a helipad.


According to Al-Hadath sources, a US military cargo plane landed in Lebanon’s al-Riyaq airport in the Bekaa valley, the landing was a first for the US military.

There have been earlier reports of the US wanting to establish a military presence at this airport, which could be used for future military operations in Syria.
