Trump meets UAE’s Mohammed bin Zayed at the White House

President Donald Trump welcomes Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the White House in Washington.

:: Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has held talks on Monday with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

The meeting comes ahead of the Arab-Islamic summit hosted by Saudi Arabia in the presence of Trump, which discusses the issues of the region and Iran’s interventions.

This May, Trump is set to visit Saudi Arabia, Israel and the Vatican as part of a scheduled tour in the region.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that one of the objectives of the visit of the US President to Saudi Arabia is to create an alliance against the policies of Iran.

“I think there is consensus in all the countries of the region about Iran’s activities that destabilize the region,” Tillerson said in his interview with NBC channel on Sunday night.

Tillerson stressed that confronting Iran has become a necessity.
