Saudi Crown Prince, Trump discuss measures on combating terrorism

:: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and United States President Donald Trump discussed way to further cooperation in the battle against extremism and terrorism.

Trump praised the constructive cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States in all fields, describing his meeting with King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the signing of multiple deals and Memorandums of Understanding as a “great achievement”.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the US in the field of combating terrorism, as well as the latest developments in the Middle East, efforts towards them and policy positions held by both countries.

Trump is currently in Riyadh in his first official overseas trip as US president where he is expected to sign multiple deals with the Saudi Arabia.

He is also expected to give a speech later on Sunday on the Islamic faith during a US-Arab Islamic Summit with nearly 50 other Muslim-majority country leaders.
