Houthis slam UN envoy to Yemen once again

The Houthi leader accused Ould Sheikh of working for the benefits of the Arab coalition rather than the Yemeni people.

:: The head of the so-called Supreme Revolutionary Committee of the Houthi militias, Mohammed Ali Houthi, launched a new attack on UN envoy, Ismail Ould al-Sheikh Ahmed, in a reaction to the latter’s briefing to the UN Security Council.

The UN envoy accused the militia of thwarting peace efforts, as well as destroying infrastructure in Yemen, killing civilians, and engaging militarily in Hudaydah.

The Houthi leader accused Ould Sheikh of working for the benefits of the Arab coalition rather than the Yemeni people.

Oul Sheikh told the UN Security Council on Tuesday that the continued fighting in Yemen would lead to a wider spread of weapons and landmines, adding that around 500 deaths were caused by Cholera with thousands suspected of being infected.
