Security sources said that Al Jazeera news presenter Ahmed Mansour and extremist ringleader Mohab Qasim are among the names in Egypt’s red notice list with Interpol.

:: Egyptian authorities have renewed requests to Interpol to extradite 400 wanted terrorists, including the 26 in Qatar who were recently designated as terrorists by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Bahrain.

A security source at Egypt’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday that Cairo had renewed its red notice with Interpol with the names of wanted terrorists, including 26 names on the recent Qatar-linked terror list.

He added that the wanted persons were sentenced for their involvement in acts of violence, terrorism and financing terror operations.

Among the most prominent on the list is hardline extremist cleric Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who currently resides in Doha where Qatari official have refused to extradite him.

Sources also confirmed that there are other wanted persons involved in a number of issues, including Al Jazeera news presenter Ahmed Mansour and extremist ringleader Mohab Qasim, who was involved in church bombings in 2015, in addition to Yahya Mousa, a former spokesman for the Ministry of Health and wanted for his alleged involvement in the assassination of Egypt’s former Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat.

Security sources also said that several journalists are on Egypt’s red notice for inciting violence and terrorism while working for Qatari and Turkish media channels. They include journalists like Moataz Matar, Mohammed Nasser and television presenter Ayat Oraby.
