Iraq’s Abadi to visit Saudi Arabia on Monday for the 1st time as premier

It is Abadi’s first time to visit Saudi Arabia as Iraq’s premier.


:: Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi will visit Saudi Arabia on Monday, part of his official three-day Gulf tour, which includes Kuwait and Iran, the Iraqi government spokesman said.

The spokesperson says Abadi will be meeting leaders of these three countries.

He also said that Abadi hopes to “renew relations [with these countries], discuss mutual interests, and agree to fight all types of terrorism.”

It is the first time Abadi is going to visit Saudi Arabia as Iraq’s premier.
