First degree relatives of mixed families allowed to cross Saudi-Qatar border

Saudi Arabia has also exempted Muslim pilgrims coming from Doha to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah from the recent decision to close the borders with Qatar after severing all ties two weeks ago.

:: First degree relatives of mixed Saudi-Qatari families will be allowed to cross the Salwa border, Al Arabiya News Channel’s correspondent has reported.

“Saudi Arabia is allowing first degree relatives from Saudi Arabia to enter Qatar and vice versa through the Salwa border crossing,” according to Al Arabiya’s Hani AlSufayan.

First degree relatives of the mixed-nationality families are identified as the father, mother, son, daughter, husband and wife.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain announced last week the provision of humanitarian services for mixed Qatari families.

Saudi Arabia has also exempted Muslim pilgrims coming from Doha to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah from the recent decision to close the borders with Qatar after severing all ties two weeks ago.
