Iran missile raid on ISIS misses mark

:: Iran’s ballistic missile strike on ISIS targets in Syria missed the mark, US’s Washington Post reported on Wednesday, with missiles striking areas outside Deir al-Zor and even Iraqi territory.

Out of the seven ballistic missiles fired at ISIS havens in Deir al-Zor, only two have hit the targets, Israel’s Haaretz reported.

Two landed in areas surrounding the haven, with three landing in Iraq, according to a report citing Israeli military sources.

Tehran reported that the strikes had destroyed “headquarters and gathering centers of Takfiri terrorists supporting and building car bombs,” said a statement by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, broadcast by Tasnim news Sunday.
