:: As Muslims across the globe gathered to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a holiday marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, super model Gigi Hadid shared a photo on Monday of her Arab roots on social media to wish followers an “Eid Mubarak.”

In the photo posted on her Twitter account, the American-Palestinian 22-year-old is seen as a young child gathered with her Arab family members dressed in traditional clothing.

Hadid’s father, Mohammad Hadid, was born in Palestine and immigrated to the US with his parents when he was 14.

Daughter of a former model, Hadid started modelling when she was just two years old. After modeling, Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid was best known for her appearance in the reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
