Libyan rivals voice joint support for plan to end crisis
:: Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj and eastern Libya commander Khalifa Haftar have said they are committed to a conditional ceasefire in joint declaration after talks near Paris.
In a joint statement on Tuesday, both said their sides were also committed to providing “the conditions for the preparation of the forthcoming elections”.
“There is a commitment to resolving the political crisis in Libya and the goal of establishing a modern democratic civil state,” the joint statement read.
An agreement was also reached by both sides to call for disarmament and integration of militants wishing to join a national army.
