Egypt: Boycotting countries will not back down on Qatar demands


:: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that the the four boycotting countries, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, would not back down on their demands from Doha, reported Al Arabiya.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the Egyptian Foreign Minister and his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian had lengthy talks in Paris where Shoukry presented an integrated view of the reasons for severing relations with Qatar, stressing that Egypt cannot tolerate those who tamper with its security and stability.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt announced that as part of their firm commitment to fighting terrorism, drying up sources of funding and pursuing those involved, nine entities and nine individuals were added to the terrorism list.

On May 5, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt snapped ties with Qatar over its support for terrorism and harboring of terrorists.
