Arab coalition appoints new official spokesperson

Colonel pilot Turki bin Saleh al-Maliki, the official spokesman of the coalition forces in Yemen.


:: The leadership of the Arab coalition forces supporting the Yemeni army announced on Thursday assigning a new spokesperson.

The newly appointed speaker will replace Major General Ahmed Asiri, the former spokesperson for Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope who took over the mission since the start of military operations in Yemen, reported The Saudi Press Agency.

The Arab coalition leadership appointed Colonel pilot Turki bin Saleh al-Maliki, as the official spokesman of the coalition forces and he has begun to perform his duties.

The coalition leadership confirmed its intention to continue communicating transparently and to provide necessary information on the military operations aimed at supporting legitimacy in Yemen.

Al-Maliki will hold press conferences whenever necessary, and will be available to communicate with all local, regional and international media.
