UAE minister Gargash says Qatar’s attempts to politicize Hajj will fail

The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash stressed that any discussion to end the crisis in Qatar will be based on stopping Doha’s support for extremist militants.

:: UAE’s minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash said Qatar’s failure to politicize matters through the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is an early warning which points that Doha’s attempts to politicize Hajj will also fail.

Gargash said via Twitter that “the solution lies in (Doha’s) frank review of its accumulating mistakes in the region and against its neighbors.”

He added that the strategy which Qatar has adopted to deal with its crisis is doomed to fail “because it does not resolve the roots of the crisis, (which are) supporting extremism and intervening to undermine the security and stability of countries in the region.”

ICAO on Monday rejected Qatar’s complaint against the boycotting countries.
