Seven flights to transport Qatari pilgrims from Doha to Jeddah
:: Saudi Arabian Airlines has allocated seven flights of Boeing 777-300 – a very modern aircraft, to transport Qatari pilgrims from Doha to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
These transport plans are done in implementation of the royal decree and within the first stage of the movement of the Qatari pilgrims for Hajj.
In coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saudi Arabian Airlines has allocated 7 flights of Boeing 777-300 – a very modern aircraft to transport Qatari pilgrims from Doha to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
According to the set schedule, the flights will depart August 22-25, while return flights will be on September 5 after the end of the pilgrimage.
Engineer Mohammed Al-Otaibi, Director General of Air Transport at the General Authority of Civil Aviation, said that Saudi Arabian Airlines will launch flights after applying for the necessary permits from the Qatari authorities, which have not been received yet.
Al-Otaibi added that for Qatari pilgrims who wish to travel via Dammam or Al-Ahsa airports, they will be transferred according to the scheduled Saudi flights or via special flights if necessary.
He pointed out that all these flights will be at the expense of King Salman.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation has directed all its airports to provide all necessary assistance to the pilgrims in implementation of the Royal Decree, and the allocation of time slots required for Saudi Airlines to conduct flights coming from Doha for the Hajj season.
