Emirates denies one of its planes has been targeted with a bomb

Emirates has strongly denied reports that one of its planes had been targeted for bombing.


:: A spokesman for Emirates Airlines said that the national carrier has strongly denied reports that one of its planes had been targeted for bombing on Monday, confirming that the news was baseless to local newspaper Emarat Alyoum.

Lebanese Interior Minister Nuhad al-Mashnouk revealed the involvement of four Lebanese in an attempt to blow up an American passenger plane on its way from Australia to Abu Dhabi.

Mashnouk said in a press conference on Monday that the thwarted attack was coordinated by the Information Division of the Department of Homeland Security and Australian authorities.
