Saudi Crown Prince donates $4.3 million to Qassim charities
:: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, has donated $4.3 million (Saudi Riyal 16 million) from his own account to charitable societies in Qassim region.
This was within the Project of Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to support charitable societies in all regions of the Kingdom. The money will be distributed through 10 charity societies in the region.
The total number of beneficiaries in the Qassim region was 7,296 and they include five categories of orphans, cancer patients, young men and women to be married, and people with special needs in addition to family development.
Beneficiary categories
The project covers all regions of the Kingdom, segments of society and various categories of beneficiaries.
The project was launched in Riyadh region with a donation of SR 23 million distributed among 11,680 beneficiaries through 14 charitable societies.
Later an amount of Saudi Riyal 15 million was distributed among 14,914 beneficiaries through 10 charitable societies in Makkah region.
The Eastern Region also received an amount of SR 16 million to meet the requirements of more than 41,000 beneficiaries through 10 charitable societies.
