Riyadh forum to discuss tomorrow’s economy

:: Preparations are underway at the Riyadh Economic Forum to launch the eighth session of the forum, which will be held on Nov. 27-29 under the patronage of King Salman.

The forum in its previous sessions focused on in-depth research of the national economy and its main obstacles. It looked at improving the effectiveness of the economy in confronting local, regional and international challenges, and promoting effective partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Economic circles and public and private sectors in the Kingdom consider this an important economic event.

The forum adopted a slogan in line with government efforts to achieve the Saudi 2030 vision, titled “Tomorrow’s economy is built today.”

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Saud Al-Saleh, expressed his sincere thanks to King Salman for sponsoring the forum. “The forum has gained more strength, and success in achieving its goals and targets, thanks to this support and encouragement,” he said.

He pointed out that the previous forum held meetings, conferences and negotiations as well as 21 panel discussions.

Specialists, government officials, businessmen, academics, and those interested in economic issues also took part in these meetings and discussions.

The meetings took about 200 hours and concluded with the formulation of 30-45 preliminary recommendations, all of which are in the interest of the national economy and suggest certain mechanisms for implementation.
