Saudi relief official: Yemeni ports controlled by legitimate forces are open

The supervisor general said Saudi Arabia has supported Yemen with aids worth over eight billion dollars.

:: Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabeeah has confirmed that Yemeni ports under legitimate forces control are open for humanitarian aid to Yemen.

Over the last two and a half years Saudi Arabia has provided major aid for the Yemeni people, said Rabeeah during a high-level meeting on Friday in Rome for cooperation towards continued peace in Yemen. The aid surpasses a total of eight billion dollars, he added.

Rabeeah noted that the aid has supported areas under legitimate forces control and areas under militia control.

The supervisor general also reflected on Saudi Arabia’s efforts to use Jizan port as means to facilitate the flow of relief and humanitarian aid to Yemenis.
