Extreme cold weather predicted in parts of Saudi Arabia this week

:: The General Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection predicted that the Saudi Arabia will be affected by a cold air mass with significant lowtemperatures that would reach below 0° C.

This cold weather will affect especially the northern parts of Saudi Arabia – Tabuk, Jouf, and Hail – from next Wednesday and would extend to the northern parts of Central and Eastern regions by Thursday.

The meteorological agency pointed out that this low temperature would be accompanied by wind that will kick up sand and dust, limiting visibility.

The wind speed would reach more than 45 km per hour, turning into a sand storm with a horizontal vision less than 1 km. This cold mass is expected to affect the central, eastern and western areas in the Kingdom on Thursday.
