:: Lebanese Forces Party leader Samir Geagea considered that the State of Lebanon is closely linked to the Cedar Revolution and not to Hezbollah or its associated allies who are tied to regional issues that have nothing to do with Lebanon.

He said during his meeting with a delegation representing Akkar region, “We are staying behind the Cedar Revolution and we will continue to uphold it above anything else in this country.”

“If it is true that the resistance is the only one that can be relied upon, this is a problem, not because we do not want resistance, but because there will not be a state again.”

He pointed out that there are daily efforts to deal with “matters related to the leadership of the Cedar coalition and March 14,” pledging to defend Lebanon and all its borders.

The Cedar Revolution in Lebanon refers to a series of demonstrations that shook Beirut condemning the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and defined by its participants as the independence uprising.

The revolution led to a million-strong demonstration on March 14, 2005, during which the March 14 coalition was composed of the largest parties that revolted against the Syrian presence in Lebanon.

The most prominent of these were the Future Movement, the Lebanese Forces and the Lebanese battalions, in addition to receiving the support from the most prominent international powers and the United Nations.
