King Salman approves specialized offices within Public Prosecution to battle corruption
:: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has approved the creation of specialized departments in the Public Prosecution to investigate and prosecute cases of corruption, which will be directly linked to the Attorney-General.
The Attorney-General, Sheikh Saud Bin Abdullah, said the king’s nod to create these departments comes “within the framework of his concern to combat corruption in all its forms and with the aim of protecting the country and its resources.”
The Attorney-General added that both the king and crown prince are keen to continue their fight against corruption and “eradicate it from its roots with utmost force and transparency.”
