Saudi King Salman urges best possible services for pilgrims during Ramadan
:: King Salman has called for efforts to be redoubled to provide the best services and facilities for Umrah performers, visitors and worshipers in the Two Holy Mosques, and the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah during Ramadan.
Chaired by King Salman at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Tuesday, the Cabinet reviewed reports on local affairs, including preparations and services provided by the government and private sectors for Ramadan.
The Cabinet commended the Council of Economic Affairs and Development’s launching of the Quality of Life Program 2020, one of the programs to realize Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, with total expenditure of SR130 billion ($34 billion). The program will improve the lifestyles of individuals and families, boost investment opportunities, diversify economic activities, create jobs, and enhance the world ranking of Saudi cities.
The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation of Iranian interference in the affairs of Morocco “through its tools” — the terrorist organization of Hezbollah that is training elements in the country.
The “Dhaka Declaration” issued by the 45th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation — held in the capital of Bangladesh under the title “Islamic Values for Sustainable Peace, Solidarity and Development” — was welcomed by the Cabinet.
The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the suicide attack on the headquarters of the Supreme National Electoral Commission in the Libyan capital of Tripoli and offered condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and to the Government and the people of Libya.
The Cabinet also expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the armed attack targeted the Minister of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reiterating the Kingdom’s stand to protect its security and stability.
