Qatari envoy Mohammed al-Emadi proposed that Tel Aviv grants the Palestinians in Gaza Strip work permits to end protests at the strip’s borders.

:: Qatari envoy Mohammed al-Emadi has proposed that Tel Aviv grants the Palestinians in Gaza Strip work permits to end protests at the strip’s borders.

“If Israel allows people from the Gaza Strip, whose many of its people live in poverty, (to work in Israel), protests at the borders and attacks using burning kites will decrease,” Emadi told the Israel Broadcasting Corporation.

He said the plan can begin with 5,000 people from Gaza entering Israel to work and noted that there hasn’t been much progress in the efforts to release the Israelis who are “missing” or “held captives” in Gaza.

Earlier this year, Emadi was kicked out from a hospital in Gaza by the staff who also threw shoes at him. The flag of Qatar was also torn as people chanted slogans against Qatar.
